BASIC ROYAL ICING
2 lbs. powdered sugar, sifted
6 tablespoons meringue powder
2/3 cup water
Optional: 1 teaspoon of preferred flavoring
Place all ingredients in mixer with paddle attachment. Mix ingredients on low until incorporated. Mix for 2 minutes. Be careful not to over mix icing (over mixing will cause the icing to not dry). Icing can now be colored and thinned to the needed consistency.
*Recipe can be halved without any issues.
